Making Gatherings Better: Experience Design, Events, Facilitation, Workshops, and Training

Make a difference; not just an agenda.

We’ve been part of enough gatherings as attendees, speakers and organizers (and instructors, facilitators… you get it) to know there is plenty of room for improvement. From team meetings to trade shows, we believe that experiences need to be well designed for each person to take the most away from a gathering.

How we approach it

  • We focus on the greater purpose that brings people together.

  • We look at the outcomes that need to be met as well as who needs to be there.

  • We account for logistics and particular constraints that frame options.

  • We design the structure, facilitate and/or coach how to organize the gathering.

What we have done

Since 2012, we’ve run our own annual gathering of master practitioners helping each other grow. It’s called Up to All of Us and it’s because of our success that other organizations and communities come to us first to design and facilitate their gatherings, events and campaigns. For the US Department of Education and the US Department of Defense, we’ve organized technical gatherings for each and large industry trade shows have had us disrupt (with permission) their regular format with an unconference that took place around their established programming. We like working with groups of 50 but we’ve worked with as many as 200 active participants at a time.
